Today is Candlemas, a festival of light in the lengthening days of early spring. An Anglo-Saxon sermon for this ancient and beautiful feast, when 'þæt soðe Leoht, Crist, wæs geboren to þam temple' ('the true Light, Christ, was borne to the temple'): https://aclerkofoxford.blogspot.com/2012/01/lfric-on-candlemas-twofold-burgeoning.html
