Nissim ben Reuben Gerondi

(c. 1310/20  – c. 1375) Physician and talmudic scholar. Although is not so well-known as Moshe ben Nahman or Solomon ben Adret, he is an outstanding figure in Medieval talmudic studies. Twelve of his derashot are extant and research about Ran is developping in last years.
