Although he is known as a instigator of the anti-jewish riots in Sevilla in 1391, that later spread to the rest of Castilia and Aragon, he was preaching in Sevilla since 1376, and actually was sent to trial in 1383 and forbidden to preach in 1389[note]De los Ríos, II, 579-589, 592-594.[/note]. Nevertheless, he continued with his anti-jewish sermons until 1391 and even later.
His life is quite well documented in the Chronicles by Pero López de ayala, specially in chapters V and XX.
