Presbyter in the diocese of Burgos who “ad inducendum iudeos ad fidem catholicam insudabat eisque verbum Dei predicabat indefesse” (untiringly preached the Word of God for the conversion of the Jews to Christiany)[nota]Martínez, Los judíos…, p. 87, n. 37.[/nota].

The Jews of Sahagún complained to the king about the belligerance of Juan while during his sermons. Juan  hide in the monastery of San Facundo in Sahagún, where he was supported by abbot Antonio de Ceynos (Don Antón).
