One of the best known converso preachers, although his life as a preacher was not very long. In october 1360, the bishop of Girona explains to the clergy and the faithful that Nicolau is preaching to the Jews in the city [note]Escribà, Gemma, Frago, Maria Pilar, Documents dels jueus de Girona, 1124-1595. Ajuntament de Girona, 2004, p. 141, doc. 399; Arxiu diocesà de Girona, Registres de Lletres episcopals, vol. 39 (1360-61), f. 77r.-78r.[/note]. By then, he was still not granted the licence to preach by the king, which he obtained in november that year[note]Riera, Llicències reials, p. 123[/note].
One year later he appears preaching in Mallorca[note]Riera, Llicències reials, p. 123-4[/note] and Manresa (was paid 30 sous)[note] JOAQUIM SARRET I ARBÓS , Jueus a Manresa, Manresa 1917 , pàg. 47[/note] . In 1363 he was killed probably by the Jewish community in Puigcerdà[note]Riera, Llicències reials, p. 124[/note].
